CCT worktrip (and ride), Sat - 6/11 - 9:30 AM. We'll be re-routing a short section of the Fairfax Cross County Trail (yes, again). This time south of Route 7 and north of Browns Mill - on the popular Colts Neck/CCT loop. Another in the continuing series of our relocating the CCT to public land.

It won't be a big job this time - probably 1.5-2 hours at the most - so let's go for ride somewhere nearby when we finish up. DT and I were just recently able to determine with the FxCo natural resources folks that they want to see a board walk across the wetlands portion - probably 50'. But we'll have to to build it on a future trip when there is time for design and to arrange for materials, which we'll look to FxCo to provide.

Meet at Wynhurst Lane cul-de-sac, Saturday, 6/11, 9:30AM.

Directions:

From the Dulles Toll Rd, north on Hunter Mill Rd, at the stop sign, right on Crowell Rd. From where the main road turns right and becomes Browns Mill, instead continue straight on Crowell Rd, then right on Westford Dr, then left on Wynhurst Ln to the end.

From Reston/Baron Cameron Ave, south on Hunter Mill Rd, follow Hunter Mill left through the light, then at the stop sign, left on Crowell Rd. From where the main road turns right and becomes Browns Mill, instead continue straight on Crowell Rd, then right on Westford Dr, then left on Wynhurst Ln to the end.

Bring: Any expertise and/input on designing boardwalk that works for horses (your bike if you want to ride).
