Mark YOUR calendars. There will be a combined MORE/Cranky Monkey/PVC trail maintenance day at Wakefield Park on Saturday, June 18th. This is the day before the 1st Cranky Monkey race and your 1st chance to garner 7 Cranky points in your quest for Cranky Glory. This is also the last Saturday before the Wednesday at Wakefield Race Series starts.

We could really use your help. Although the redesign of the trail system at Wakefield left us a kick'n race course, the recent large quantity rains did a number on our stream crossings. In particular, the stream crossing by the substation is out right dangerous and the one coming out of Salamander is gonna cause HUGE pile ups as people try and negotiate the steep short up. This is the same weekend as Big Bear and if the weather holds many of our normal Wakefield trail stewards will be absent. Even if you don't race but just like to ride at Wakefield then you know there are several problem area's that need to be fixed (There's also a TON of tree pruning that can be done if your not into the normal LARRY kind of projects).

We'll be meeting at the recycle bins at 9:30 AM on Saturday, June 18th. Bring your gloves, water and if you have one. We have a good stash of tools at Wakefield, but if you have a favorite trail tool or pruner, go ahead and bring it along. MORE will be providing our normal Cliff Bars and I'm working on the Bagels and coffee.
