Has anyone successfully used rim tape to get a tighter seal from the tire to the rim for a tubeless setup?
My Navegal’s wore out and I’m trying a Maxxis Ardent but it fits looser on the rim than the Navegal did and I can’t get a seal. I’m using Stan’s rim strips.
I read on Stan’s site about trying another layer of yellow tape and they also suggested 1/8th weather stripping for some rims. Any experiences to share?
Edit: Got the tire sealed; two wraps of Rav X rim tape did the trick and got the tire tight on the rim.
