Eric,
Please ask Amy if it is alright for the riders to trim back some of the overgrowth that is now taking place on both the Howard Co. and Baltimore side of the Avalon trails. Sometimes I go blasting through the trails only to come out with arms and legs bleeding from the thorns.
Thanks.

they have trail adopters for that, she likes to make sure whoever is doing the pruning is properly trained. name the trails and I'll shout at her.

I am the adopter for Vinyard Springs trail and Pigs Run...I'm actually heading out this evening to trim both of those routes after doing trail reports this past weekend.
What trails were of concern to you zap? I don't mind swinging out of the way, even way out of the way, to hit a problem area or two....since I am trained, certified, licensed, bonded, insured, and otherwise equipped and indoctrinated by the park to trim raspberry and multiflora hangers.

Someone definitely needs to trim the trails where they cross the power lines. The power company recently cut the high grass but the trails that lead into and out of the power lines have have crazy sharp briers growing in them. Vineyard needs help but so do the trails in the area of Charcoal (?) near the campground. I hope this helps.

rambling, On the Baltimore Co. side there is the trail that continues up past Soapstone that has bushes growing over that makes for an already difficult climb.
On the Howard Co. side there is the Yellow trail. One spot is near the abandoned house, huge brier bush growing out over the trail, and next is further out in the open field, looks like tree branches growing out over the trial. Just about took my head off even though I was as low as I could go. Thanks.
