Anyone have an opinion about this fork?? I had an owner/mech. at the LBS offer one to me for a good price. Any opinions or feedback would be great.

At 5", or full extension, it's a little noodly. Much better at 4". This has to do with the length of inner stantion tubes engaging the outer tubes' bushings.

Let me tell you, though, you can't go wrong with a Fox Vanilla R. IMO, it's the best fork on the trail, under $600.

I've heard that about the '02 and '03 models but supposedly the '04 model had those kinks worked out.

I used an 03 Psylo Race with the remote and it was a nice fork. I 'upgraded' to a Minute 3 and the Psylo was actually better in my opinion. Better performance (smoother small bump compliance with more controlled rebound) and better reliability for the period that I owned it, which admittedly was shorter than the Minute. I added a manual lockout knob from the lower end model because I found it more useful to set the compression damping and leave it rather than constantly tinker with it which the remote encourages. Despite the arguments of the reverse arch, I could tell no diference between the Minute and Psylo. A Fox is stiffer in terms of flex in my opinion, although the Psylo is not bad. I am right around 200 lbs for reference (the firm spring is necessaryif over 170 or so), and wasn't doing anything crazy with it.
