2010 Cabin John Trail Conditions Thread

Cabin John is in great shape today. The trail is mostly hard-packed clay, slightly damp with no dust. There were a few muddy spots in the usual trouble spots. Yet some of the trouble spots were dryer and firmer than I expected.

Even the river trail was suprisingly hard packed and moist. The sandy spots were dry with some loose sand.

There were a few new trees down, but no show stoppers.

thinking about going there early tomorrow, as I need to stay close to home. Where is a good place to start? Any trail maps there?

That place is super fun!

Just got done a night rid there this evening. Its still pretty wet and sloppy in a lot of areas of the trail. There are a few large trees down that will force you to dis-mount and climb over. I feel that this trail needs better markings. if you dont know where you are going, its easy to go the wrong way with all of the differant trail divides. Lots of fun though.
