If you have sent in your check please send an email to mtbmore at comcast dot net so Scott can send out any last minute details to all that are registered

We have the Stokesville Campground reserved for the Memorial Day Weekend Camping Trip. Over 25 sites have been claimed so far.

We are providing the Sunday dinner as well. For a small fee ($2 per sandwich) we will be providing either steak cheese or chicken and cheese on a sub roll with all the trimmings and fresh cut fries.

Sierra Nevada has stepped up as a MORE sponsor. They will be providing 10 cases of beer for our Memorial Day Camping Trip!!!! Also Chris Scott is donating a KEG!!!!

For those that do not know what that is: It is the venue for the Shennandoah Mountain 100 race every Labor Day and the home of the Shennandoah Mountain Bike Festival every October. Thanks to our good friend and Va IMBA Rep Chris Scott, we have the whole campground to ourselves complete with waterproof pavillion in case of rain during the dinner and breakfast hours. Many sites have water and some have a picnic table and fire ring. For now we are taking a $10 non-refundable deposit for a campsite. The campground will handle over 200 people and 40 sites so the more the merrier.

Based on current registrations we have set the price for 3 nights of camping and a pancake breakfast Sunday and Monday morning plus other goodies to be determined at $50 per campsite.

Each campsite is limited to a family, 4 people or 2 cars and the campsites will be available first come first served. This is done primarily to ensure that we cover the costs of the event. If after all expenses we have a surplus the plan will be to donate that to the MORE Trail Tools Fund. For those that have attended MORE Camping Trips in the past know that we will make sure that everyone gets their money's worth.

There are miles and miles of sweet GW National Forest singletrack right from the Campground. For those planning on the SMT 100 this year, here is a great chance to practice many of the trails in the race.

Directions:

Look for the Iron Bridge!

From I-81 take exit 240. Follow Rt. 257 to Bridgewater. Take a left on Rt. 42 south, cross the bridge leaving Bridgewater and turn right onto Rt. 727. Follow to T and turn left staying on 727. Follow to stop sign, turn left onto Rt. 730, and follow to Stokesville. At next stop sign turn left on Rt. 730 again and cross over the Iron Bridge. The Stokesville Campground is immediately on your right.

From West on the PA Turnpike - Take 70 east in Breezewood towards Washington D.C. - Take exit 1B (Rt. 522 South-Hancock exit). Go over the Potomac River through Beckeley Springs and into VA towards Winchester for a total of 40 miles before taking a right on 37 South just before Winchester (the 2nd stop light you come to in VA - a small sign for 81 South is at the turn). Follow 37 South to 81 South. Harrisonburg is about 65 miles South of Winchester.
