OK, I know this is supposed to happen on the THIRD Friday...due to the FH workday following the third Friday, forgive me for scheduling this for the FOURTH Friday (one time only).
The NVRPA folks have intercepted people trying to ride FH at night, so I KNOW you can\'t wait for the chance...
Let\'s do it LEGITIMATELY!!!!
We\'ve finished the trail work to convert the Yellow Trail BUT, it\'s not open yet in the daylight hours. Let\'s ride the Yellow Trail and the White Trail after dark...don\'t worry, we have permission.
The regularly scheduled (irregularly scheduled this month, only), monthly ride starts at 7:00 and typically breaks into two groups to accommodate a moderate and casual pace.

Post Wakefield Trailwork Beginner Ride
The second in the series of Beginners/Skills Building rides will be held at Wakefield Park in Northern VA at 2pm. There is a trail work day at Wakefield starting at 9am. For that reason, we\'ll be having the ride in the early afternoon. I encourage folks to show up for the work day and then continue on with the ride.
This ride will continue the work we started at Schaefer Farms late last month. We\'ll be working on going over logs and roots as well as working on technique for climbing and descending.
Depending on turnout, we\'ll probably split up into two groups again. The pace for both will be casual, but one of the groups will be devoted to people who are VERY new to mountain biking, the other will be for folks who are familiar with the trails, but want to brush up on their skills a bit more.
Make sure you bring a helmet, gloves, water and some trail food that works well for you. We\'ll probably be on the trail for 1-2 hours. There are numerous points for people to head back to the parking lot early if they want to cut the day short. Julian and I will continue the ride longer at a slightly faster pace at the completion of this ride. Anyone is welcome to join us.
When: Saturday, October 26, 2:00pm.
Where: Contact: Peter Beers if you\'re interested in joining the ride.
