Do you have a large carbon mtn bike frame that is broken or cracked? If so, I may be able to give you some bucks for your damaged steed. 'Not picky about make/model, as long as it was produced in the last half dozen years or so. Please contact me at pschultz21@gmail.com.

A friend just got hammered by a taxi on is Cannondale Six. It is currently in about 6 pieces. If he is not able to do Cannondale frame replacement policy with it, he might just give it to you.

Could you elaborate on what you intend to do with the frame? I am wondering for two reasons....

First, I have a 1997 Trek 9800 frame, intact and unbroken, but flexy and disc brake mountless. I doubt I would build it again, so what would you offer for such a frame? It's trek's OCLV carbon, which they are still making today.

Second, I have a friend (on these boards) who bought a Gary Fisher superfly in damaged condition. Specifically there is a hole you can see through on the non-drive side seatstay - the result of a crash impact. He has now been riding that bike for 3+ months without any problems, including several big VA and PA rock rides and SM100....not easy riding. He did nothing to address the damage to the frame.

So I was curious what project you had in the works...if you care to share

I should have been more specific... I'm looking for a large mountain bike frame. The bike does need to be disc brake mountable.

Repair it. I've worked with composites for nearly 2 decades, mostly on boats, but my current tri bike is a Softride that I needed to repair when the ebay seller didn't disclose a cracked bottom bracket.
