Watch out for that crazy sick, very technical double built legally by those IMBA/MORE hooligans!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend Sevenforty tried it and completely ate sh!t. Same with jlc115. SCroll down for pictures to prove how much damage was incurred and video of Sevenforty's crash!!!!

We've ridden this trail plenty of times and know these jumps were here, we even session them once in a while too, but today, they just popped up out of nowhere!!!! Forcing us to go back and session them for like 5-6 times each!!!

Sevenforty ripped his jersey and jlc115 skinned his knuckles, knees, and lost an arm!!

All this damage done, it's very dangerous. I think MORE should come in and erect awesome wooden fences with awesome danger signs warning riders like they did at Wakefield (awesome job FCPA!!). That'll teach those damn teenagers with their BMX bikes and Walmart specials! They should take down those jumps and make the trail even flatter---or make it ALL uphills!!!!! I really want to take my road bike out there to build up my crazy physique!!

Here's the video of Sevenforty completely destroying himself[/URL] (his ego atleast).

There was some pretty funky growth on the skinny (probably rotting wood) on the PowerStation loop too, pretty awesome looking bright orange. I'd refrain from eating it though. You'd probably hallucinate...

Here's sevenforty getting those jumps right:

those jumps totally would break up the cadence of your typical dirt road "cross country" racer. i would also urge you to remove those jumps, as well as any logs, rock gardens, berms, and downhill grades >1%. i'm also gonna call you out because you're not wearing spandex/lycra and didn't shave your legs.

Nice touch Phil. Was that one of your patients?
Or perhaps a late saturday night at the lab dinner
- ie, just finishing off the pizza delivery guy?

heh

jlc115 skinned his knuckles, knees, and lost an arm!!

Dang it!!! Now we have to pave Laurel Hill. I was just beginning to like the trails there too. ;)

In all seriousness, those tables need some serious rake-lov'n. There's trail debris and rocks and crap all over the take off and landing. Plus, some water would be nice too.

There's starting to be ruts on a few of the bumps so if someone's jumping it with a smaller volume tire, things might get a bit loose.

Aside from that (and the odd overgrowth in certain sections of wooded trails), the rest of LH is in awesome shape!

Can't pave it because the horsey folks would bet mad.

Phil,

You need to read the IMBA trail manual. That's a "pump track feature", not a "jump". :)

I always get too much speed by the third jump and freak out coming out wondering if I'm gonna miss the turn and go into the ditch!

Maybe shave the legs along with wearing lycra.

Looks like the baggy shorts and fuzzy legs were causing to much air turbulence resulting in an uncontrolable line of flight.......really..........:thumb sup:

On the table that sevenforty wrecked at: the trail leading into the lip of that jump and the take off itself actually points you right at that tree that he just barely missed. The landing and the rest of the trail curves slightly to the right. You can avoid this issue by cutting ever so slightly to the right when you approach the take off and landing it perfectly centered on the transition. Given of course that you session it plenty of times and also have gotten a decent look at it before you leap (pun!).

BTW: to the kind folks who showed concern over the "severe arm" picture (go on google pictures--type in 'severed arm' ) and prompted the powers-that-be to have it removed from the post: I applaud you! Thank you for proving my point for me.

Epic fail.

Of course my first ever crash there and Dr. Phil has a freakin' camera out. :hammertime:

Word of advice to anyone who rides with Dr. P...he will be filming you...he will be filming you. (Worth repeating) Phil, you got one thing wrong though. I ripped that jersey at Snowshoe. Ha! :D

What ever happened to Kodak-courage? :confused2:

It was a real fun ride though. We all had a laugh at each others expense--and that's what biking is all about (pointing and laughing at people).

Yeah, you can tell when I'm filming if the camera's shaking like a tourette patient in a snowstorm.
