Robert is doing the Make-A-Wish Triathlon (http://www.midatlanticcommunity.org/Page.aspx?pid=359&frsid=1663) again this year and hoping to do even better than last year. Last year he set his fund raising goal at $1000 and managed to collect $1500 so this year he set his goal at $2000. He will be competing in a full Olympic distance triathlon (1.5k swim, 40k bike ride, 10k run) to help raise money for this great cause. He was the youngest competitor in a field of 537 finishers competing in his very first triathlon and finished 387th overall in a time of 2:33:58.30. This year he is hoping to do even better!

For anyone that would like to help by contributing to his fundraising they can simply go to his personal support page (http://www.midatlanticcommunity.org/robertCaverly). There is a link on the right for folks who wish to make a donation, or they can download a form if they wish to mail a donation.

Please feel free to forward to anyone who might know Robert and wish to contribute.

Awesome - go, Roberto! I'll pass it along to my boys to offer encouragement.

We know he's fast on the bike, but I bet he really tears it up on the swim with all that training he gets. So will you guys be doing the TFK race this year, as well?

Thanks Frank. Not sure about the TFK race - it may conflict with a swim meet - gotta check the schedule. I hope so.

Ok - I know you get lots of these requests for donations - but here goes anyway...

We are in the final week now before Robert competes in the 26th Annual Make-A-Wish Triathlon at Sea Colony. Last year he was the youngest competitor in the event and managed to raise $1500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year he is hoping to beat that and raise $2000. This is a great organization that has been "granting wishes" to terminally ill children for more than 25 years.

During the past 25 years, the Foundation has fulfilled more than 6,300 special wishes-including wishes to be a secret service agent, watch the hatching of sea turtles, meet a celebrity, receive a new play set, travel to a foreign country, go on a shopping spree, attend the Olympics, have a room redecorated, visit Disney World and watch a space shuttle launch. Just as each child is different, each wish is specially-tailored to each child's most heartfelt desire. On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for helping to share the power of a wish®.

Robert will be doing his best to turn in a competitive time on behalf of all those kids who can't compete for themselves. Last year he competed for the first time and finished 387th out of 537 finishers - he is hoping to do even better this year!

Please help make his efforts mean even more by adding your donation to his total. You can easily donate online using the link above.

Thanks for your support.
