Just as the subject says, I'm looking for a set of 26" wheels in good or better shape for a beater I'm building up. Would prefer older XT or XTR...hubs and rims must match for both wheels (my pet peeve). I'm in Falls Church and can pay cash, or I have a bunch of road and MTB parts that might interest you.

Email to: dougbrashear@yahoo.com if you have something and please send a pic.

Thanks!

- Doug :-)

I have a pair of disc-ready wheels OEM from a 2001 Marin. Mavic X139 rims, "Ovation" (Marin house brand) hubs.

Not exactly what you're looking for, maybe, but you can't beat the price - Free.

Let me know soon if interested - I'm headed out of town today for a little over a week.

Hello all,

Thanks for the offer, but my original post should have said that I need v-brake compatible wheels. The bike is an old ProFlex 856 that I'm building up as a loanable spare and no amount of wishing has yielded front and rear disc mounts for those bikes as of yet. Anyway, I'm more of a rim brake kinda guy. Thanks for the offer, though! That was quite generous!

Anyone have a set of rim brake compatible wheels?

Thanks!

- Doug

Hello,
I'm in talks with the Crossmax guy right now, but would certainly like to know more about your wheels in case those talks fall through. Can you send or post a pic?

Thanks!

If you are still looking...

I have a Mavic 317 Rim, and XTR Rear Hub... Both less than 100 miles on them, not built up (tore wheel apart to sell). Non-disk, V-Brake ready. Also have 2 sets of XT V-Brakes as well...

I have an OEM set off a 2005 Specialized. Rear needs to be true'd a bit, but the front is perfectly fine. No gear cassette on the rear.

V-brake only.

Free to a MORE user who PMs me.
