Can someone tell me what the wee green dots on the various posts mean? Underneath my post count, there's a green dot. If I hold my mouse over it, it says that "Gaz is on a distinguished road". Everyone has a green dot, everyone has the same message!

Ooh, some people have "...is off the scale" instead! The game's afoot, the plot's thickening!

Green dots (small rectangles) are reputation points...

User Reputation in its simplest form is a ranking of a user's benefit to our forum. Its basis comes from the opinions of all of the forum users that choose to take part in it.

Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take away points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.

To express your opinions about a particular post, simply click the reputation icon http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/hybrid/buttons/reputation.gif that's at the top of every post. If you don;t see the icon it's because you don't have the ability to add or remove reputation. Or, you have already used up your reputation quota for a given time period. Use it wisely...
