SOLD TO DRUGADDLED_PRIMATE

rmac was kind enough to sell me this bike for only $20 about a year ago. The problem is that it's just too big for me. I never want to ride it because I'm just a little too stretched out. Ideally, I'd like to trade it for an road bike that's a bit smaller (54cm?). Fixed, geared, I don't care. This is my only road bike and with all this rain, I'm going to be needing one that fits for the summer.

If that doesn't happen, then I'll just sell it. I put in about $40 into the bike (new brake levers, brake wires, tape, and tubes. So $60? The price is for MORE members only.

Specs/Info:
57cm c-c seat tube
56cm c-c top tube
27 1/4 wheels and tires (original - they are rather dry-rotted now - so they should be replaced)
2x6 drivetrain (cassette and chainrings look OK - but the chain is pretty beat up)
Rust - it's got some - not too terrible
Sizing - my guess is that it'll fit someone in the 5'10-6' range.

I've been looking for a more or less complete road bike to do a fixie conversion on for city use. Does that thing have semi-horizontal drop outs, or are they vertical?

I'll take it.

Edit - where's the rust?

Just surface rust, from what I can tell. Not particularly noticeable unless you look closely - mostly where the paint got chipped and in a few places has spread under the paint. The only way to get rid of it (in my opinion), is to sand the frame down and repaint - which is a waste of time for this frame. I don't think it's in any immediate danger of failing.

It does have semi-horizontal drop-outs (forward facing). I'm not sure what the exact term is.

I'll wait a few more days and see if anyone has a road bike a bit smaller they are willing to trade (unlikely, I know).

Sounds good, shoot me a PM when you're ready to sell.
