The Spousal Unit and I are investigating moving out of what has been a MTB/Recreational Dream Home to somewhere similiar but w/ Garage...nothing final, but curious if any folks are interested in acquiring our location at a price under market value because I don't want to do any primping and what not if we decide to acquire another base for Family Operations...
House is one of the larger ones in the neighborhood, full basement w/ exit (Bike Cave Imbedded), apx 1/4 lot, very new screened deck, new shed, carport, 3 bathrooms...only 2 bedrooms (place has been moded by previous owner for larger kitched- I was planning onexpanding to 4 bedrooms). We've updated the windows, insulation, Electrical Service Upgrade, etc. Basment is partially finished, etc.
What is important, literally 10-seconds (if not traffic) to trail head - land right in the middle of the Wake-Tink Connector trail- so riding to Accotink or Wakefield is quite easy- the community is called Ravensworth farm which is right across Wakefield Park.
Anyway, PM me if you are interested...I'll keep you updated on our status and provide details on the house, etc. The whole deal depends on if we can find a house w/ garage that offers the same amenities of the current one- we are actually more prone to staying but figured we'd seriously look. If we find something my goal is to move, we have tons of equity and I don't want to primp and go through all the stuff...so thus the undermarket value price...
I'm a very candid weeneis...so ping me if you are interested...

Best of luck to you. Sounds like a great place. If you do choose to sell your home through a realtor, keep me in mind - I'd love to help y'all out and I always do my best to make it easier than selling it on your own. Plus, we could talk business out on the trails, how cool would that be?
Additionally, if you're having a tough time finding homes on the net, drop me a line. I've got the realtor database at my fingertips.
I'd love the opportunity to discuss what I can do for y'all.
Best, esfand
p.s.I've been toying with the idea of giving away free XTR cranks or a Fox Fork for all of my MORE clients. I know, I know...low blow, but hey, business is business.

The goal is to be in biking distance to Accotink or Wakefield- granted, it may be like a 1-mile or 2 versus the current 150-meters or so.
Granted, like I said, just identifying interested parties as we move out in our investigation... One of the issues is, er. Freedom to get a new bike every couple of years...or, er- nurse current bike until total failure, then budget, save to replace bike...I think I'm becoming an adult!

...I think I'm becoming an adult!
I'll see that when I believe it!
Tom, your "inner child" will always shine through, blinding us to your brief excursions into adulthood!
And, that's a good thing.

We were on the verge of self-induced, home poverty...fortunately, several hours before we were going to take a second look at a supposed keeper- a buddy was riding by, decided to take a 30-second detour (er, it is uphill to my house- 10sec to the trail) from the connector trail to my house and see if I wanted to go for a ride... I was up at 0730 building spreadships to see how the hell we could afford this house- after 4-5 hours of crunching number 'Household 6' (Spousal Unit) insisted I go ride...what a beautiful day and a great ride...as I was riding, I noticed the front wheel had a bit of flex (really cheap front wheel)- I was thinking I should upgrade that wheel, I love that bike. Then the crushing reality settled in on what the hell we were about to do (er, me having to lobby and budget to replace my front wheel w/out demonstrating total failure to the Spousal Unit)...anyway, we decided to not take that second look and I guess I'm stuck remodeling a kitchen over the summer- ha, ha!
Granted, what the hell do banks consider affordable!?! They'll loan you anything it seems...a word to the wise, the 'mortgage calculators' are great on the Realtor websites, but it is best to do the math of what the loan will mean in terms of taxes, home insurance and what not- holy moly batman!!!
