For sale...one set of hardly used Shimano PD-M505 clipless pedals.
Yep, that's right, you read correctly, these pedals seem to somehow increase the force of gravity surrounding the rider when they are clipped into. I've only used these pedals on 3 rides but experienced the increased gravity effect between 3-5 times on each ride. The effect is amazing, I've never fallen over so easily in my life. I must state that I can provide no guarantee as to the performance of these pedals once they leave my possession. You may or may not experience the increased gravity effect that I did.
Price $1.00

Funny you posted this Mike cause my gravity-inducing PD-M505 pedals will also be up for sale as soon as I buy a replacement. I've only used these pedals 2 times and today was the last straw. I managed to rebruise my left shoulder (bruised it the first time I rode with these pedals) and also got a big gash on my right knee and elbow and bruised my right hip. It's amazing how much damage you can do to your body when falling while standing still.
I'll sell them for cheaper than the ones above: $0.99
It's a real steal if you enjoy pain. :-D

This is toooo wierd, I just pulled a set off of my cross and was going to put them up for the taking. How much do they pay for scrap metal these days.

I get along fine with those pedals. I wouldnt mind three spare pairs for $3. Alternatively I suggest you find somewhere soft and grassy to practice riding around on and getting used to un-clipping. It is worth it in the end.

Oh, I'm not new to clip-less, I've been riding clip-less for about 9 years now. These pedals just have too much float for me and I have a hard time getting out of them. Haven't gone down once since I switched back to my old pedals. Seriously though....$1.00 and they are yours.

I'd buy that for a dollar....Yea I'll take them, they can sit around as spares until my fifth bike turns up.
Just out of curiosity what are the pedals you get along with?

The pedals I'm currently using are a very old set of Codos...they aren't the best pedals but I stay locked into them when needed and can get out with a simple twist of the ankle.
Markie, where do you live and/or ride?

You mean coda? Aren't they just like the shimanos?

I live in Woddley Park, NW D.C. I work in Bethesda. I ride at Patapsco on Wednesdays and normally go to the Gambrills on one of the weekednd days. This weekend might be different. I might do trailwork at Patapsco on Sunday.

Yeah sorry....Coda....Canondales brand. They do have a similar design to the Shimano pedals and use the same type of clips but they don't seem to have as much float. Meaning there isn't as much play when you twist your foot from side to side while clipped in. With the Coda pedals I can unclip with a few degrees of rotation and with the Shimano pedals my ankle alone could hardly rotate enough to get out of them. Most of the time I had to rotate my entire leg to get un-clipped. The 505's aren't listed on MTBR but if you read some of the other reviews on the Shimano 5XX pedals other people seem to have similar problems getting out of them.
I'm frequently around both of those areas so maybe I can get them to you this weekend.

I have used loads of them and always do OK. But then I probably learnt with them and the only other things I ever remember using much were even worse.... Onzas.
Will you do trailwork Sunday? Or will you go ride somewhere?
Look out for the silver mini.

Today I'll be at Gambrills, tomorrow I'm not sure of and Sunday I'll be riding Greenbriar. I'm actually heading out now so I'll try to catch up with you later on this evening.
