I have been absolutely useless today at work, thanks to a combination of this site (http://80scartoons.net/toons/) and this site (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/).

Harken and smile, as you crank your speakers up, and listen to some of these wee nuggets from Saturday mornings of long ago....

Mom! It's on! (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/T-Z/ulysses.wav)
Can I have more cereal?! (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/J-Q/pole-pos.wav)
I don't WANNA go outside!!! (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/J-Q/mask85.wav)
Can I play on the Atari after lunch? (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/T-Z/transf84.wav)
And here's one for the ladies... (http://www.soundamerica.com/sounds/themes/Cartoons/R-S/she-ra1.wav)

Truly inspirational.

By the way... (signifying a HUGE jump off topic), I saw the highlights of Liverpool's win the other night. Pretty fancy goal that sealed it. I love watching the keeper go one way and the ball go another.

Yup, Garcia's second was a missile. There's nothing like scoring like that, it's an amazing feeling. I volleyed one in from about the same distance during last season, smacked it perfectly, and went in off the crossbar - I was grinning like an idiot for the rest of the game.

Unfortunately, Liverpool suffer from the curse of Tracee's apartment - every time I watch them play when I'm there, they're awful. They absolutely dominated Juventus for the first half, when I couldn't stand it any more, bailed out of work, and headed up there for the second half, where they proceeded to stink up the place. Ah well, at least they hung on for the win!

When I was playing, I was always at the keeper end of that equasion. I got it right 50% of the time. ;) It is pretty dang hard to tell which way the guy is going to kick the ball. The trick is to make it pretty dang hard to tell which way the keeper is going to dive. ;)
