I am thinking about sneaking away from work tomorrow and thought I might check out Wakefield.
So do you people think the trails will be in shape to ride tomorrow (Wednesday)?
Trying to get in some dirt before the "you know what" starts again.
Thanks in advance.

Wakefield trails are in good shape. You can definately ride there tomorrow. Enjoy!! Before the "you know what" shows up again.

I rode Wakefield today, it was beautiful out there. The trail on the West end along the strem is tore up, many wash outs and roots stretching across washed out sections. Is there ever going to be any armoring done to this section? I'm not sure what can be done since it is so close to the stream, but between washouts and 6" of sand in other parts it gets a little tricky.

Question about the new trail- there seems to be a re-route or trail change since last time I was there. If you ride from bottom to top, you used to take a sharp right at the intersection where you meet the old trails going into the flat western section. Now, at that sharp right is another "T", right follows the new trail up the hill and over the bridge to the switchbacks and left goes out to the powerlines. Is this for the race course? It is hard to see which direction you are supposed to go to make a loop and not miss any fun parts.

i too road wakefield this afternoon. it has been drying up nicely and has tack. new sections around the hill are niiicee. upper creek section is shot due to last weeks rainfall.
i'd head out early tomorrow to sneak in one more.

If you take a left at the T you wind up under the powerlines. Take a left and follow the powerline trail, then cut back into the woods. You'll be real close to where you left the new trail originally. Hope this helps.
