that we had to create this forum. But, due to some offline requests and some recent posts, the web committe decided it was in the best interest of our membership to create this forum.

So, if you've had a bike or other piece of equipment nabbed, or if you've ben careless enough to leave that front wheel in the parkinglot after a long ride, post it here, hopefully one of our members can help you out.

Actually, it strikes me as a pretty good idea...

Sure, we have unfortunately been hit by thieves, but I think it's probably much more common that we drop something or leave it behind and don't realize until too late... Or we've found something that someone else lost. Now there's a place to advertise it...

True! Good idea, I agree. However, I'm not returning the small figurine of Apu that I found under the powerlines..... ;) This one's a case of "finders keepers losers weepers"

Ride on!

I have a new pre-ride ritual for riding at Wakefield- I have a post-it note that I leave on my dashboard facing out- "No credit cards in car  ." More than anything, I don't want the stupid thieves to try and slim jim my locks just to find that my wallet is NOT in the glovebox or in the center console.

I also started parking closer to the skate park where there is more foot/car traffic.

Does the person have their home phone # or Mom/Dad in the stored numbers?

Last time I found a phone I just called a few people stored in the phone and they got me in touch with the owner.

But if the names in the address book are Scooter, Brownie, Dick, Jeb, Daddy, and Condie, you can just toss it.
