Does anyone know where I can find them online? Or do they only have paper one available? :confused2:

They are nice maps, and MOST of the trails are on the maps and correct. I have noticed that trails you find NOT on the maps most likely go across PRIVATE PROPERTY, which seems to be ALL OVER in GWNF. So, if it's not on the PATC map, you probably should not ride it.

A side note -
The Garmin Maps for the GPS units are NOT all that accurate in terms of WHERE exactly the trail is and what it is called. Go with the PATC for sure when planning.

Second note -
The PATC maps for Michaux do NOT include a lot of trails. That might be because they are not really hiking trails??? Someone said "all the trails are named 'connector'", well that might be because they all tend to hit "pipe lines". If you look at the map carefully and know where the pipelines are at all times, you will have a MUCH easier time finding your way back to your car. The "pipelines are not marked on the map like a trail, but with a straight dashed line. They are also really good for working on your climbing stamina.

National Geographic's Trails Illustrated Maps are fantastic. For Massanutten and the Wolf Gap area, you want 792: http://www.natgeomaps.com/ti_792

For Stokesville area, you want 791: http://www.natgeomaps.com/ti_791

Both have recently been updated and are available online or many bike shops. The Bike Site maps are from the Shenandoah Mountain Bike Festival a few years ago, incorporate parts of the Trails Illustrated Maps and contain precise turn-by-turn directions.
