Have you played your April Fool's joke yet? Here are some funny ones: http://corporatedump.com/officepranks.html.

I especially like this one, which I'll use on my brother-in-law later:

Another gem is to do a "Print Screen" of the user's desktop, and then paste the image from the clipboard to a photo program, and save the image as a bitmap. Then, set the 'snapshot' of their desktop as the actual desktop wallpaper. (You'll have to hide the Windows status bar, and move all their desktop icons into a folder, which you can hide conspicuously in the corner or something.) The user will see their desktop as always, but everything on it will appear to be frozen when they try to click on it...sending them into a rebooting and virus scanning fit!
*******************

I'll get him to wash my car while I "fix" his laptop.

There are at least 4 or 5 ticking bombs (figuratively speaking) around the office today.

Great idea with the desktop prank. I'll add that one to my file.

Before I sold my company, I used to send a memo on April 1st asking people to turn their mouse upside down for 15 minutes, as it needed to be done once a year to reset some inside mechanism per manufacturer's guidelines.

Another year, I asked people to do the same thing with their monitor.

Believe it or not, about 20% of people actually did it.

Unfortunately, you only have 30 minutes left to test them... :D

Similar, I did this to my brother last year. I took a screen shot, pasted it into photoshop and rotated it 180 degrees. Then I made photoshop display it full screen. Essentially the same as below, but now the desktop is upside down...

I got a hello f a laugh watching him try and figure out what the hell was going on - classic.

You can also give a gullible friend a message from Harry Leon and give him the number to the Zoo - get it?

I should have messed with you guys today  Just ran out of time...
