This will be another fantastic opportunity to see the latest trail building techniques brought to bear on some difficult wet areas.
This is the last major section of the Connector and will offer some fantastic "moguls" and trail features that we'll be telling all our friends about. I've posted some pictures in the MORE gallery (http://www.more-mtb.org/galleries/browseimages.php?c=7).
!!!Update Monday Work Day Confirmed!!!
Thanks to all who come the past two days to beginning building the new section of Hoyles Mill. We've made great progress. Monday will be necessary to complete the gravel and bridge work. Please come out and join us.
The meeting location for Monday (4/11) is North Hoyles Mill. The directions to North Hoyles Mill are:
Take I-270 to Exit 15-B MD-118 South -- Germantown
Travel 2.3 miles and turn Right on MD-117 West (Clopper Road)
Travel 3.2 miles to 3-Way Stop and continue straight through intersection to stay on Clopper Road. Road curves sharply left and becomes White Ground Road
Continue on White Ground Road for another 1/2 mile to the Hoyles Mill Conservation Park trail head on the left
(If trail head lot is occupied, continue just past trail head, turn left and park along edges of Hoyles Mill Road.)
Please arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 AM to enjoy breakfast. We will strive to get to work promptly at 9:30. We will break for lunch around 12:30 and will continue into the afternoon.
Because of the wet conditions that we'll be working to correct, please wear appropriate work shoes. Long pants are also encouraged because of the nature of the work.
Please join us and give whatever time you can spare. If you have any questions, let me know.
Thank you,
James Corbett
