OK... For the life of me, I can not figure out how to insert pictures into a post so that the image shows up in the body of the post, and not as an attachment. I see the little icon for "Insert Image", but when I click on it, nothing happens. Can anybody keep me from going crazy?

Use the Insert Image button, then paste the link to the pic:
http://www.wam.umd.edu/~rdeleyos/images/gerbil.gif

This method requires the pic be hosted somewhere else.

You may have a pop-up blocker that prevents the window from coming up. When I click on the image icon, there is a pop-up window that asks me for the URL for the photo to be included.
It looks like this:

http://myroadtrips.peterbeers.net/photo_album/image.jpg

I paste that in and the image pops up when I submit the post.

Hope that helps a little.

If you want to host the pic on the MORE server, you need to submit it to the gallery. Once it's approved and posted, the gallery provides you the specific tag/link to paste into the body of your message. Por ejemplo, after submitting my Two Monkeys pic and Martin or Joe approved it, I can go to that pic and there is a place where you can copy just the BB image code:

I just paste that into the body of my message:

I believe that today, this image is more appropriate:

I need to read better. Pete addressed the question, I didn't. Ignore my ramblings above.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You gave a better description than I did. I'm just happy that we could tag tem this. ;)

It is only through this particular combination of genius that I could have gotten such a clear, concise answer involving monkeys, dancing hamsters, and kung fu mountain bikers. Thanks you for imparting your wisdom. :D

I assumed that the images would be hosted by the forum server. As you may be able to tell, I am a self-taught geek, and have had no professional geek training.

Now, when you check out my next post, you will see the importance of my being able to get an image embedded in the post.

Hmmm... If Ricky put together the animated GIF, are you sure that it is your tongue you are biting?

Good point. Wound't be the first time I mistook my tongue for someone else's. :P
