Considering it may be in the 50's tomorrow and it snowed earlier this week, anyone know if Laurel Hill is rideable? Thanks,

i didnt make it to the laurel hills trails. i was gonna go to but never made it past the giles run trail since it was, in my opinion, not rideable. even tho the temp said 29, there were long stretches of mud (in the sunny spots) and frozen over on the shaded parts (rideable). laurel hills had to have been a lil soupy too.

any clue how LH or Wakey would be early Sunday AM? Just frozen? Or super-icey?

I'd say it's either super icy, muddy or both. Do a road ride and be careful of anything that looks wet.

at best, Wakef. will be frozen & rutted. I was hiking thru the woods w/ my family this afternoon & saw at least 4 or 5 riders in the woods. We stayed off the trails. Riders had obviously not - fresh ruts and even slides. very sad. If it is frozen, you're going to have big ice patches in the dips... the ground was very wet.

Ice today and 50s tomorrow makes me think everything will be a muddy mess. I am going to do a longer afternoon road ride.

It might feel strange not to have my face frozen by the end of the ride.:confused:

More mess forecast for next week. Maybe it's time to get the Nokian 29er studded tires. I have 26ers, but most of my bikes are 29ers now.
