Laurel Hill - trail descrip

Also, a sign has gone up on I-95 near the Occoquan river bridge with the wording of "DC Reformatory and Workhouse" [or close to that] in historic white on brown colors. It directs people up 123 north from exit 160.

Plus they are building a hospital + ER near the trailhead - just off of I-95 south of Lorton road. Good for me and other clumsy people.

I rode the cross bike to LH from the WF area today. Unfortunately it was pouring by the time I got to LH, so I just looped back and didn't ride the trails.

The attached GPX file shows the route. It also shows hooking it up over to FH and Burke Lake via OX road. I didn't go to FH, but you can see where I go past Hampton Road.

The trail is okay for a cross bike getting down there. I walked the water crossings because they looked like they had algae on the bottom and it was a little cold for swimming.
