EBay Powerbar deal

If you get them at Performance (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=25684&item=20-5230&slitrk=search&slisearch=true), it's $16 for a pack of 12, or $1.33 a piece. Plus tax.

Here is the catch: they have a 'Best By" date of 1/23/09 on the package, which is why the guy is selling them so cheap. I bought a pack of 60 in Nov for $30 + $10 shipping or 66 cents a piece. In other words, they're now half price.

The bars are in pretty airtight aluminum wrapping. Seems to me that they can go at least several months past their "Best By" date. I certainly haven't noticed any difference in taste as the date approaches.

Anyway, 180 is a lot for one guy. I could buy a package of 60 but including shipping they're 41 cents a piece. So the best deal is on 180. If somebody takes 60 from me for $18 (30 cents a piece, including shipping) I'll keep the remaining 120.

It would also be best if you live in MoCo or/and often ride there (or the Shed) so that I can easily give you your bars when I receive them.

Deal will be with the first guy or gal that says yes.

I used to get free cases of balance bars and since I had so many, they would go bad way before I could consume them. I was eating one case for two years before they finally approached inedible, and it was just because they were getting too hard. Also, after eating hundreds of balance bars, I simply couldnt stand them any longer.

So I'd say you'll be fine eating these long past their expiration date.

just an fyi, i've had many a powerbar over a year past their "best by" date to no ill effect.
