As a reminder the Maryland Firearms hunting season begins tomorrow and runs through December 13th. The season will also come back in from 1/9 through 1/10. It is also worth mentioning that bow hunting is running in many parks through the end of January.
The trail systems most impacted are the Frederick Watershed, Greenbrier State Park and Greenridge State Forest. All three parks allow hunting with firearms Monday thru Saturday during the season. Riders are encouraged to find alternative riding destinations or ride these areas on Sundays during the above-mentioned dates. Remember there is no hunting allowed on Sundays on any public land in Maryland, so moving your ride to Sundays for the next couple months is your safest bet.
