I've noticed a very slight play in the rear hub (kinda like it's a tad loose). Anyone ever serviced these before? Can they be serviced? My understanding is that they have sealed bearings. Could someone point me to a service manual?
Thanks,
Tom

Hard to say w/out seeing it. I believe a little play in some of the models is normal. I would say bring it by a Bontrager dealer. If its a bigger issue and if the wheelset is not that old, you may get hooked up. Bontrager/Trek has the best warranty.

The rear hub on my Fuel EX9 was loose a couple weeks ago and I tightened the end nuts and that fixed it. I mentioned what I had done while having a frame dent checked at The Bike Lane and Jay took the hub apart just to make sure everything was fine. My RaceLite wheels use a DT Swiss hub. I have a manual I downloaded from the Bontrager site last January that I can email you. It doesn't seem to be online anymore.

Just for kicks, go to this link http://drop.io/toonces_MORE and click download on bontragerhubmanual. That should download the manual to your PC.

My hub doesn't have end nuts like a normal cup/cone setup. There is no obvious way to remove the bearings. My understanding is these are DT Swiss hubs as well. I'll check the manual
Thanks,
Tom

I think mine is like the Comp rear hub shown on pages 22 & 23.

If it's similar to DT Swiss, then you should be able to pop off the drive shell by pulling it straight out, there are no external end nuts or hex like a King.
