I'm thinking about upgrading the Fox Float RL on my 2002 Specialized Stumpy. Any recommendations? Is propedal/RP3 something that works? Thanks.

Run whatcha brung. Got a bunch of experience tuning that thing?
Rear shocks are pretty expensive and I have found the spring rate is the most telling of how a shock will perform. So, if you don't like Fox now, you may not like a newer fox either.
Propedal makes a lot of bikes feel pretty harsh, in my experience.

I agree with bmiker. 300-400 for an rp23, I would probably take that money and buy a frame with the rp23 already on it or save the money and buy a new bike. If you haven't done the maintenance on your current shock then i would do that and breath a little new life into the shock. You can PUSH it like mjbrox recommmended too which will cost you under 150 or just have them replace the seals since you are out of country.
