Night Ridding

I new to this area and I like riding at night in the fall and early winter. Is there any trials in the Northern Virginia / Maryland Area that allow night riding.

There is a night ride every Thursday night at Wakefield Park. We ride there and go over the Lake Accotink Park. These rides are all legal. Most of the other parks in the surrounding suburbs do not allow riding at night.

There is also a monthly night ride at Fountainhead Park. This is the only time that it is legal to ride there at night. The beauty of the ride is that they get to ride some of the other trails that are normally closed to Mountain bikers. That ride is this Thursday.

Fountainhead rides are the 3rd FRIDAY of each month. Keep in mind that the trail is closed during wet weather. Call the Fountainhead trail access line (703-250-2473) to check the trail status.

The Fountainhead rides are, indeed, scheduled for the THIRD Friday each month. Now, as long as you remember the THIRD Friday, you'll always be able to plan for your Fountainhead night ride...

due to the Fountainhead workday being schedule for the third Saturday...

The October Fountainhead night ride is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 25th. Check the MORE calendar to confirm.

That's close to Halloween. Will it be a "Trick" or a "Treat" event? Maybe the treat will be a trick.
