First of all thanks to all the volunteers who made the IMBA/MORE/TFK/Bike Lane Take a kid mountain bike day a success. 30 kids and about 16 adults hit accotink and wakefield for some great riding conditions. I dont know if the kids or the mentors from the befriend a child program had more fun but they were all raving about their first experiance on singletrack.

Special thanks to Steve and Alex's Dad (?) for playing medic/messenger/bike hauler, when 13 year old laura unexpectedly went down on the main trail back to accotink in the gravel. She ultimately needed six stitches inside her lip, but is doing well now. We will be bringing her a goodie basket tomorrow. She was probally the most experianced kid riding yesterday, but as far as we can tell her front tire simply washed out in the new gravel. Her mother was very grateful that we all looked after her. Thanks again for your help

Next week monster mash and Childrens health Festival.
