I moved here in March and have been riding Gambrill and the Frederick Watershed mostly by myself. I'd like some company.....
My plan is to meet this Saturday the 27th so we can start riding at 10:00am. So please come early. Directions are below.
Gambrill isn't for beginners...but if you've been here before or just looking for something different I'll like to do Gambrill or the Watershed every Sat/Sun around 10AM every week.
The plan is to start off this Saturday the 27th and meet at the parking lot below before 10:00am. I'll be riding there ...on a green bike waiting at the map. Ask for Dan.
For this first trip...to start with we can take the Yellow trail around, including the extra loop (clockwise)...up to the Middletown overlook...back down to the yellow and around to the Red and back to the parking lot. About 2+ hrs by myself. More loops after if anyone is interested. The following week maybe the Watershed or the Blue trail to Hamburg...or the Uper/Lower East Ridge Trail....
From Washington: Take I-270 north to Frederick, which transitions into U.S. Route 15, and continue to Route 40 west (West Patrick Street). Exit to the I-70 west/Route 40 split, bear right and continue on Route 40. Turn right on Gambrill Park Road and follow one mile until you see the first parking lot on your right.
