The Wakefield trail work is kicking off on Saturday. I'd like to invite the casual riders out to get dirty working on the trails in the morning, then go for a ride at Accotink in the afternoon.

If you've been riding Wakefield with us this winter, you know how important this trail work is. Imagine not having to cancel rides at Wakefield because of rain that fell days before? Imagine how great it will be to have a trail system that is really capable of standing up to the amount of riding we do there. That is all in the works. We just need some folks to come out and pitch in!

Trail work starts at 9:30, Be at the Recycling bins ready to go with proper work shoes, gloves and some water for while you work. MORE usually has cliff bars there and you can grab one or two as snack food. I'm sure JoeP will post up some more specifics about the trail work day this week.

We'll ride from the recycling bins at around 2:30pm. We'll head down into Accotink and do a loop or two there at a casual pace. Hopefully the trails will be in pretty good shape. They tend to hold up well. We'll ride however long people want to ride. The pace will be casual. I'm sure there will be others who will lead a faster paced group for those who want to stomp a little more.

Information about Wakefield can be found here (http://www.more-mtb.org/story.php?news_ID=115&catID=3).

If you've got questions, Please drop me an e-mail (PedroGringo@yahoo.com) or call my cell phone (571-241-6666).

So...

While I know the trailwork is still on -- is the ride afterwards still on, or has the weather (once again... :( ) got me?

In other words -- should I bring my bike or should I just assume that it's gonna be so muddy out between the sleet/snow/rain and rising temps that we won't be riding?
