I'm putting my old computer on my 29" Paragon. The computer has pre-sets for 26" and 700 tires, and a custom seclection. The instructions I have don't give directions for figuring out the custom sizes.

It has a table with tire sizes and their metric equivilants.
26x1.5 2010
26x1.9 2045
26x1.95 2050

These are a couple of the examples. I can not figure out how they came up with these equivlants. I know there are 25.5 mm to an inch , and the C=D(pie).

Anybody got any ideas what I'd use for a 29x2.2 tire.

I should have looked at this before drinking Saturday night celebrations.

2/05/05 >> I'd suggest doing a roll out and then measure it with a tape measure. (get the metric conversion from the net) My guess for a 29'er is it'd be close to what you might see running a 700C series wheel..somewhere around 2200mm.
