Hey guys; I'm looking for a mountain bike festival coming up later this month or Oct/Nov. timeframe in the Maryland/Virginia area. I found this website about the Shenandoah Fall Foilage Festival (http://www.shenandoahbike.org) where they offer each day a on-road and an off-road rides for two days. However, all my buddies have bailed on me during that time period. :( .

I checked your calendar and didn't see any upcoming events; surely there has to be others than just this one. (This one wasn't on your calendar anyway). Anyone help me out?

Thanks!

I have never been to the Shenandoah Fall Foliage Festival, but I have been to the Shenandoah Mountain Bike Festival. It going to be held October 4-6.

First of all, the riding down there is outstanding. The festival is held at the Stokeville Campground. This campground is only open for two events a year (the other being the SMT 100). The campsites are pretty nice and the views are awesome.

There will be numerous rides going out at different times for different levels. If you want more information go to http://www.shenandoahbicycle.com and click on the link for the festival.

I'll be there for what everyone has told me is a great event. Think SM100 without the 100 miles.

Hey Jason; just got done reading the website on the festival you mention; what kind of turnout have they had in the past.; about how many riders? Sounds pretty cool...and cheap too, always a plus.

I am not really sure how many riders turn out for this thing. I have never really thought about it, but I would have to say well over a 100. It is not a huge festival like Pedros, but the riding is always stellar and the people that run it are really good guys.

And if it rains, the beer crits in the pavillion are a lot of fun.
