As many of you recall, the last time I sent out an email, it was in regards to a possible fee on Peters Mill/Taskers Gap OHV Trail OHV Complex for horse and mountain bike riders. Your voice was heard in our Regional and Supervisors' Office. The proposal for this fee was tabled because of your responses and the incredible volunteer work you do on Forest Service lands! Now, you have another opportunity to voice your interests, concerns, suggestions or questions on a broader scale. The planning process for the George Washington National Forest plan is again under way. Below you will find the schedule and times for meetings to be held the week of July 14. There will be other meetings in mid-August and again in September if this week is not convenient.
If your comments/concerns are tied to the Lee, please try to attend the meetings on 7/14 or 7/16. Please let me know if you have any questions about these meetings. We hope to see you there! We can't say thank you enough for all that you do on the Lee Ranger District! Your dedication to our trails is greatly appreciated.
