Not a MORE ride and I'm not leading a group, but I figured some folks may like to attend this:

Moonlight Memorial Monument Ride
Saturday, May 17th, 2008
START: PAC HI Hostel - 11th & K Street, NW
Gather at 8:00PM - Rides starts at 9:00 PM
See our Nation's Capitol as few have. From your bicycle under the glow of the moon and stars. From the Capitol to the Washington Monument, from the Lincoln Memorial to Hains Point on the banks of the serene rippling nighttime Potomac. Illuminated granite buildings, quiet streets, easy parking, and low traffic will contribute to an experience that will long be remembered. Participants will be given a route sheet and receive limited emergency mechanical support from roving mechanics on bikes, but organizers request that bikes be in working shape before beginning the 15 mile ride. The ride is free of charge but donations, recommended $10, are encouraged for the Potomac Area Council of the non-profit Hostelling International, (formerly AYH). Bikes must be equipped with working lights, and organizers will have some available at wholesale cost. Support provided by Mt Airy Bicycles/College Park Bicycles.
Please be aware the ride is on city streets and NOT closed to traffic.

Sounds fun, but I'll be recovering from the Century portion of the MS150. Have fun, see you at the Wakefield rides if things ever dry out...

Did this last year. Ride report here (http://blacknell.net/dynamic/2007/05/21/ride-report-dc-moonlight-monument-ride/). Stay toward the front, or be comfortable being dropped (it's not fast, but traffic breaks things up, and cue sheets are few and far between). Will probably do it again this year.
