View Full Version : Wakotink trail conditions for Wednesday April 9th?

If anyone's put in some miles during lunch or something and would like to post up trail conditions, that would be greatly appreciated :)

I brought my bike with me and will be heading straight to Wakefield after work. I'll start riding around 6ish if anyone wants to ride along. I'm in the black Scion with silly license plates and DJ hardtail with semislick tires :eek: (will be a fun trail ride).

Check Larrys post yesterday in the Wakefield Tuesday night ride thread (http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10961). Things are probably marginally better today, but not hugely so.

I'd assume things are drying out even more by today and should be pretty pristine by tomorrow.

Keep in mind that Salamander will probably be still wet and I was not that happy with the way the bowl looked (I turned around).

Also - Be prepared to CRY when you see Phase II.

Last night we (casual ride) hit a fair amount of Accotink, sticking the higher trails that drain better. There were some wet spots. In Wakefield, we only did the stream trails and the legal parts of the CCT.

My girlfriend and I are going to try and squeeze a quick run in after work too. Not sure we'll be there by 6, but we'll keep a look out for a DJ'er! :p

I'm thinking today was a good day for WF to dry up a little...we'll see.
