Will the weekly Schaeffer rides be starting up soon?

Thursday is supposed to be over 70 degrees, with a chance of sun, so I plan to be out biking. I'll probably do Schaeffer at around 6 PM (sunset is 7:40 PM) and do the yellow loop and white loop at a casual or "casual plus" pace, with few stops. Is anyone else interested?

We may be moving the ride to Wednesday nights this year. I, for one, have been riding Wednesday nights all winter and the wife has been programed to accept this as my ride night. Re-programming could corrupt and unintentionally overload the system. :D

We need to get the wheels in motion though and I'll let you know what everyone decides. Those of you who helped out last year, thanks and we could use your help again. Post up or PM me if you are interested in leading rides @ Schaeffer again, or for the first time.

Thanks,
Todd

I wouldn't mind going for a ride at Schaffer this Thursday. And for the future I would prefer rides on a Thursday as I would like to alternate it with rides at Fort Dupont which are on Wednesdays.

Checked out Schaffer on the weekend an was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the trails out there. Kudos goes to MORE for setting up suuch excellent trails.

I may try and get out there this Thursday, if it seems trails are going to be dry enough. I'd also prefer thursdays, but I'll ride whenever I can. Wednesdays work almost as well too.

Todd, I suggest that we have a Wed and a Thur Schaeffer organized ride. Different people will come out on each night. Or some of us will go out on both ;).

I'll do Schaeffer tomorrow, too, if anyone else will be there, say between 5:45 and 6:00. I've been riding in Black Hill quite a bit lately after work and could use a change. The trails were fine today, by the way - just a few places where flooding left some debris.

Regular rides twice a week seems fine, as long as there are enough people in each to make it worth it. But then maybe not have them two days in a row? Or make one later than the other?

I think it's a great idea. However,we need people who will commit to leading rides on a regular basis. It would suck for someone to travel through rush hour traffic only to find there is no leader for that ride.

Who wants rides both days and who will commit to leading one on a particular night? I'd like to get these going again, ASAP.

Thanks,
Todd

It might be busy there tonight. I have a bright red Trek, visible from miles away (I picked the bike not the color).

I will be riding tonight and will stick with Thursday nights. Friday mornings give me a bit more "flexibility" and I don't like curtailing DFH for work considerations. :)

P.S. Will bring waiver sheet. I ride a green singlespeed.

But, I can commit to either night as a consistent ride leader. Since you're already committed to Wed, I can commit to Thursday, and if Bob and James are committed to Thurs, can swap back to Wed. Yueq, when is your Gambrill ride this year? Thurs?

Couldn't we just skip the ride and go directly to Dogfish Head. I'd lead that! :D

I'm good for Wednesday since I ride LB on Friday nights. If needed I can commit to lead the casual ride; just say the word.

Either way I'll be there to support the rides.
