Anyone been out there lately?? Thinking of hitting it this weekend....Thurs rain withstanding...

Rode it last night. It is in great shape. A couple (like 2) muddy spots in the whole loop. I am hoping to ride it again Friday, and am confident that unless it pours tomorrow it will be fine.

Kudos to the trail maintenance folks who have done wonders on the CCT section from 7 to the W&OD!

What all did they do? At one point, it looked like they were going to gravel in a section of it.

There has been a lot of trail elevation/gravel work done to eliminate several chronically muddy sections.

I haven't been out in a while, but based on how dry things are in the area I imagine the trail is in good shape.

BTW, there is a trail workday on Sunday for Lake Fairfax.
