Does anyone have any experience w/ converting an older Shimano XTR 952 crankset to be able to accept standard 4 bolt 104 chainrings and bashguards? I know you can swap the spider out w/ a different shimano, AC, or Middleburn spider. Problem is that I can't find the Shimano and AC spiders. I am waiting to hear from Middleburn if they have some in stock.

I think you can use the spider from an older XT 752 series crankset...so If anyone has one, please let me know.

U may get lucky and find one through quality otherwise start shopping ebay.
The AC and xt versions will fit the 950 series crankarm, if you can find them.
You will probably have better luck with finding a suitable replacement crank.
I have a 5 arm AC on XT square tapers and I recently scored a xtr w/110 5 arm.

Quality is out of the 4 bolt. I'll keep searching as I've got 2 of these cranksets and I just don't want them to sit.
