On Sunday, April 6, the Bike Lane will be hosting Cyclefest, a day of racing, rides, clinics, and other topics at Wakefield Park.
The Bike Lane race team has agreed to donate 50% of the proceeds from the race to MORE. This will be a needed fund raiser for the club, and will help us present MORE (and hopefully increase our membership) to the public.
We will need volunteers all day, starting 6:00 AM and going to about 3:30 PM. You can work part of the day or all day. A few volunteers will be needed Saturday, April 5 for course set-up.
In addition to assisting with the race, MORE will be leading rides, conducting clinics (beginner and advanced), and providing information on the club and trail advocacy during the day.
Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and food compliments of the Bike Lane.
Volunteer positions:
MORE Info booth (will be staffed all day with shift coverage)
Race related positions:
Race Marshals (morning)
Registration/Race timing (morning)
Parking (early morning)
Transition area assistance (morning)
Race sweep - 2 on bikes, 2 on foot (end of race)
We have ride leaders and clinic instructors.
