Having been a big fan of the Iron Man comic books as a kid, I think the casting of Robert Downey as Tony Stark is pretty inspired.

I recall Stark as a deeply flawed man, callow and unheroic, with a serious drinking problem.

Then maybe he will fit.:) It depends on how the movie portrays the character, if it follows the comic book. I couldn't tell from the trailer I saw on TV. I really don't know the comic book.
