Does anyone have one of these (http://www.goprocamera.com/index4.htm)?
Seems like it would be pretty fun to use and not a huge deal if it got smashed on a rock or dropped in a creek. (since it is relatively inexpensive)
Don't forget to watch the video on the bottom right hand side of the page!

I have the Samsung 210 helmet cam thingy that has better res, hard-drive memory, etc. I wasn't impressed by the Hero.

I used BikerMikers cam in Moab/Fruita last year and it worked great. I had no problems with it and would buy that one if I decide to get one.

Are you talking about the Samsung SC-X210L? If so, the MSRP on that sucker is $599... significantly more than the $169 for the Hero. 600 or even 400 bucks is a little out of my price range for something that could be subjected to rocks or mud. (I would be using it for DH)

FWIW, Any modern digital camera should do hours of 640x480x30fps video on a SD card.
I use a sony superHAD lipstick cam in my racecar - about $70. I run it into a little miniDV digital camcorder I already own. We're rigging a small battery pack on it this year and will use it for some mtbing. Its overkill for vga quality though. There are CF mpeg PDRs now that do as good a job as miniDV (and no vibration issues)

I got it for $400. You just gotta look around. I forget when I got it but yeah, it's that 210xl thing.
Wanna rent/borrow it?

Thanks for the offer, but I'm really paranoid when it comes to borrowing other people's stuff. I've had to replace far too many items that I'd rather not have had to. :D

Cool, I also found the GoPro Helmet Hero on the same site:

It seems like they like it... I think I'm going to pick one up. :)
