Anybody know if the straps on a Brooks D-Shaped tool/saddle bag will fit around a pair of handlebars? I'm interested in a small handlebar bag to carry random detritus, and it seems to me that would do the trick and look damn good doing it - if it fits.
(The other end of the bike is taken up by a rack and trunk bag - no room to hang a saddle bag)
Thanks.

Dang that's fancy (http://www.kinetics.org.uk/html/d-shaped.shtml)!
You didn't ask, so I had to hide this. For us poorer folk, I loves the Jandd Mtn Handle Pack 2 (http://www.bikemannetwork.com/biking/p/ACBAGBAR/BG2546). It's even got two fancy bungies that go down to the eyelets so things stay stable (http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=612285094&context=set-1566310&size=l). Damn links! ;^)

I really like my Berthoud bag . . . typically carry my keys, cell phone, Dinotte battery pack, gels and a few fig newtons. Berthoud is french and kind of expensive, but I expect it to last for 20 years. I'm about to buy another for my road bike cause I'm tired of swapping the bag back and forth.
You can get them at wallbike.com
